Brightwater Odyssey is a pioneering retirement living village in Perth, offering apartments designed and certified to Gold Level Liveable Housing Standards. These standards prioritise independence, accessibility, and comfort, supporting residents to age in place while maintaining autonomy in their homes.
The community is designed to encourage activity, social interaction, and connection. Through outward-facing communal spaces, residents can engage with their neighbours and the wider environment. This thoughtful approach forms the foundation of a staged development, which will include future commercial strip tenancies to enhance the village experience further.
The design draws inspiration from the site’s beachfront location. MKDC, together with the sales team and client, developed three complementary colour schemes. These palettes were carefully chosen to appeal to a wide range of potential residents. They range from natural whites and light, airy interiors to deep, textured tones and warm bushland-inspired colours. Each scheme reflects the natural surroundings while creating a comfortable, inviting home environment.
Brightwater Odyssey demonstrates MKDC’s expertise in residential community design and ageing-in-place architecture. The project balances functionality, comfort, and style to create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive living environment for retirees.
